The Rally Store, which will be selling Ripon College apparel and merchandise, opened Oct. 27 inside of Ripon Drug in downtown Ripon.

The news was announced via an email sent out to students and faculty from the Vice President of Advancement Shawn Karsten.

I’m pleased to announce that the college has partnered with Ripon Drug/Ben Franklin as the official off-line and off-campus provider of Ripon College apparel and merchandise. Starting today, The Rally Store at Ripon Drug/Ben Franklin will feature a limited selection of apparel and merchandise that will be updated on a seasonal basis. A broader selection is still available through our online provider, Akademos,” Karsten wrote.

“This exciting new partnership provides consistent staffing and hours while keeping the Rally Store close to campus at a location that many faculty, staff, and alumni view as a staple of downtown Ripon. Furthermore, it represents our ongoing commitment to be a strong and reliable community partner.”

Students expressed excitement about this additional shopping opportunity, especially sophomores who did not have many shopping opportunities during their freshman year due to Covid-19.

“Having a Ripon apparel shop so close is very convenient for students. The selection they have is perfect for gifts in time for the holidays,” Sophomore Daniel Saylor, said.

Jacey Musha, another sophomore, agreed.

“I enjoy having an apparel shop so close to campus, and the fact that it’s also in a small business is a plus! I’m excited to see what other items they may have in the future,” he said.

This is one of many changes happening downtown recently, including the reopening of Mugs and More. These additions to downtown Ripon may be of great interest to the college students.
