Ripon College’s soccer forward Cameron Greene is coming off a year where he was tied for second on the soccer team in goals and assists. He chose to come to Ripon because of the opportunity to continue to play soccer, the small class sizes, and the great relationships that he can have with his professors. He has played in all 63 career games as a Red Hawk and has started 60 of them. This year the men’s soccer team has won 3 games and lost 6, and Greene already has 3 goals and 2 assists.

“A few of our team goals would be to finish the season with a winning record and also make a run for the conference tournament,” Greene said.

The senior exercise science major from Two Rivers, WI., answered a few questions about himself to help the campus get to know one of the key players on this year’s men’s soccer team.

Q: What is your favorite memory in your soccer career?

A: Making the all-state team my senior year of high school.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do off the field?

A: Kicking back with my family and friends

Q: If you could go back in time, what is something you would tell yourself the first day you walked on campus?

A: Enjoy these next four years because before you know it they will be over

and it will be time to move on.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about senior year?

A: I’m most excited for the events that are planned for the seniors.

Q: What are your plans for after graduation?

A: Attending graduate school for athletic training.

Q: Who is your favorite team to play and why?

A: Lawrence because it’s usually a pretty good game and it gets pretty intense. I

guess you could call them our rivals for soccer.

Q: What’s one thing students on campus might not know about you?

A: Most people don’t know that this summer I had the opportunity to donate bone marrow to a kid with leukemia through the Be the Match Program. Now he has a chance to live a cancer free life.

Q: What’s your favorite meal in the commons?

A: I would have to say cordon bleu or chicken patty bar.
